- I wish I had some food in refrigerator.(adj.)
- I must try some to grow next year. (pron.)
- He told me a lot of other things that I can’t remember now. (adj.)
- Which one are you going to choose, that one or the other? (pron.)
- At the party each child was given a bag of candy. (adj.)
- Each of them was also given a present from the Christmas tree. (pron.)
ข้อสังเกตการใช้ Indefinite pronouns และ Indefinite adjectives บางคำ เช่น either และ neither
either หมายถึง สิ่งหนึ่งหรืออีกสิ่งหนึ่งระหว่างสองสิ่ง ตามด้วยคำนามเอกพจน์เสมอ แต่หากต้องการใช้กับคำนามพหูพจน์ จำเป็นต้องเติม “of” หลัง either
neither หมายถึง ไม่ใช่ทั้งสองสิ่ง ตามด้วยคำเอกพจน์ที่เป็นทั้ง Distributive pronoun และ Distributive adjective เช่น
Either one of us could do it.
Either of these machines is suitable for the work you want done.
Either of the hotels will be fine.
Either of you can come.
Neither of us can go.
I have traveled by the 8:00 train and 10:00 train and neither train had a bus.
A:I don’t like rain. ฉันไม่ชอบฝน
B: I don’t either. / Neither do I. / Me neither. ฉันก็ไม่ชอบ
นอกจากนี้ยังมีคำว่า Both หมายถึง ทั้งสองสิ่ง ทั้งคู่ ซึ่งใช้กับคำนามคำกริยาพหูพจน์ และ both สามารถตามด้วย “of” ใช้กับคำนามพหูพจน์ได้ อีกทั้งยังสามารถใช้ Both โดด ๆ คำเดียวได้อีกด้วย
Both ใช้เป็นคำสรรพนาม เช่น
- I have two sisters; both are teachers.
- I don’t know which book is the better; I shall read both.
Both ใช้เป็นคำคุณศัพท์ เช่น
- Both her legs are broken in the accident.
- There are minimart on both sides of the street.
- Both children were born in Italy.
- Both my parents have curly hair.

- The movie is both excited and fun.
