แกรมม่าน่ารู้: PRESENT CONTINUOUS

วันนี้เดี๋ยวเรามารื้อฟื้นแกรมม่าที่เป็นพื้นฐานของโครงสร้างประโยคในภาษาอังกฤษกันค่ะ นั่นก็คือ Present Continuose Tense

โครงสร้างของ Present Continuous:


(+) am/is/are + verb + -ing
→ He is living in Thailand
(เขากำลังอาศัยอยู่ในประเทศไทย)

(-) am/is/are not +verb + -ing
→ I’m not living in Thailand
(ฉันไม่ได้อาศัยอยู่ในประเทศไทย)

(?) am/is/are … + verb + -ing
→ Are they living in Thailand?
(พวกเขาอาศัยอยู่ในประเทศไทยใช่ไหม?)



วิธีการใช้ present continuous:


1) To talk about temporary situations:
ใช้บอกเกี่ยวกับเหตุการณ์ที่เกิดขึ้นชั่วคราว
ตัวอย่างประโยค:
I’m studying really hard for my exams.
= ฉันกำลังเรียนอย่างหนักสำหรับการสอบของฉัน
My cousin is living in Thailand at the moment. (he doesn’t normally live there)
= ญาติของฉันกำลังอาศัพอยู่ในประเทศไทย ณ ตอนนี้ (ปกติเขาไม่ได้อาศัยอยู่ที่นี่)

**คำศัพท์ที่มักใช้ใน present continuous คือ at the moment, currently, now, this week, month และ year


2) To talk about actions happening at the moment of speaking:
ใช้บอกเกี่ยวกับเหตุการณ์ที่กำลังเกิดขึ้น ณ เวลาที่กำลังพูด
ตัวอย่างประโยค:
I’m waiting for my friends
= ฉันกำลังรอเพื่อนของฉัน


3) To talk about trends or changing situations:
ใช้บอกเกี่ยวกับสมัยหรือการเปลี่ยนแปลงต่างๆ
ตัวอย่างประโยค:
The Internet is making it easier for people to learn English anywhere , anytime. อินเทอร์เน็ตทำให้ง่ายยิ่งขึ้นสำหรับคนที่เรียนภาษาอังกฤษออนไลน์ ที่ใดเวลาใดก็ได้


4) To talk about things that happen more often than expected, often to show envy or to criticise with words like: “always, constantly, continually, forever”:
ใช้บอกเกี่ยวกับสิ่งที่มักจะเกิดขึ้นเสมอ และจะใช้คำเหล่านี้เพื่อแสดงอารมณ์ อิจฉา หรือ บ่น เช่น always, constantly, continually, forever
ตัวอย่างประโยค:
My mum is always saying I don’t help enough! (complaint) = แม่ของฉันจะบอกเสมอว่าฉันช่วยได้ไม่เพียงพอ (บ่น)
He’s always visiting exciting place! (envy)
= เขาไปเที่ยวแต่ที่ที่น่าตื่นเต้นตลอดเลย! (อิจฉา)
