เรามาเรียนรู้คำศัพท์ภาษาอังกฤษที่ใช้ในชีวิตประจำวัน หรือที่เรียกว่า daily activities ที่เรามักจะกระทำมันทุกวันๆ กันเถอะ
Wake up = ตื่นนอน
I’m wake up at 6 o’clock. ฉันตื่นนอนตอนหกโมงเช้า
Get up = ลุกจากที่นอน
I’m get up at 7 o’clock. ฉันลุกจากที่นอนตอน 7 โมงเช้า
Make the bed = เก็บที่นอน
Have you made your bed? คุณเก็บที่นอนของคุณรึยัง
Have a shower / Take a bath = อาบน้ำ
Take a shower หมายถึง อาบน้ำฝักบัว ส่วน Take a bath คือ การแช่อ่างอาบน้ำ
I usually take a shower in the morning. ฉันมักอาบน้ำฝักบัวในตอนเช้า
I want to take a bath. ฉันอยากแช่อ่างอาบน้ำ
Get dressed = แต่งตัว
The mother told her child to get dressed. แม่บอกให้ลูกแต่งตัว
Put on makeup = แต่งหน้า
I put on makeup before my boyfriend arrived. ฉันแต่งหน้าก่อนที่แฟนของฉันจะมาถึง
wash up/do the washing up = ล้างจาน
I can’t hear you, I’m washing-up. ฉันไม่ได้ยินที่คุณพูด ฉันกำลังล้างจานอยู่
You do the washing-up and I’ll do the drying. คุณล้างจานนะ แล้วฉันจะเช็ดให้แห้งเอง
sweep the floor = กวาดบ้าน
I sweep the floor every morning. ฉันกวาดพื้น(กวาดบ้าน)ทุกวันตอนเช้า
Mop the floor = ถูบ้าน
I mop the floor every sunday. ฉันถูบ้านทุกวันอาทิตย์
Vacuum the floor = ดูดฝุ่น
I vacuum the floor every other day. ฉันดูดฝุ่นพื้นวันเว้นวัน
vacuum the floor มักจะถูกย่อลงเหลือแค่ vac the floor แค่คำเต็มของ vac คือ vacuum
Dust/do the dusting = ปัดฝุ่น
I dust the furniture every week. ฉันปัดฝุ่นเฟอร์นิเจอร์ทุกอาทิตย์
I don’t do the dusting every day. ฉันไม่ได้ปัดฝุ่นทุกวัน
Do the washing/do the laundry/wash clothes = ซักผ้า
You need to sort colours and whites before you do the laundry. คุณต้องแยกผ้าสีกับผ้าขาวก่อนที่คุณจะซักผ้า
Hang the clothes = ตากผ้า
Can you hang the washing on the washing line please? คุณช่วยตากผ้าให้หน่อยได้มั๊ย (ตากผ้าบนราวตากผ้า)
